This November Hannah has chosen to help people who may have to do without this Christmas.
I always have a brilliant Christmas so I would like to help people who know how to make sure everyone can have a Happy Christmas.
Operation Christmas Child
Hannah made two shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, containing sweets, toy cars, toothbrush and paste, soap, pencils, notepads, a skipping rope, jewellery, hats and gloves for a girl and boy aged 5-9. She also included a Christmas card with her photo. They will be transported to Africa or Eastern Europe, and we have registered the shoeboxes to find out where they end up. We should know in January, and we will update the page with news.
Hannah had help to fill her shoeboxes from Nanna & Grandpa Warburton and Grandma & Grandpa Straw.
Thankyou!
ATNAS APPEAL
We have been collecting small toys in sales and special offers this year, ready for an appeal like this. The ATNAS appeal asked for donations of warm clothes, toiletries, food and toys to help homeless and vulnerable people in the region this Christmas.
On November 28th, Hannah presented a large bag of toys (about 10) to volunteers at the collection point. Hannah hopes this will male some local children smile on December 25th!
MAKING WINTER WARMER FOR THOSE WITHOUT
Hannah was told about this amazing charity by her friend Donovan’s family. Making Winter Warmer For Those Without helps the homeless, with supplies such as sleeping bags and warm clothes, and providing hot food and friendship to Street Friends on weekly outreach projects. This Chistmas, they have appealled for donations of selections boxes. Hannah and her brother Adam used their pocket money to donate 5 selection boxes, and dropped them off at Papercuts in Whitley Bay on Saturday November 28th.
Hannah hopes to help out with this charity in 2016.
Thankyou once again to everyone for all your support, and kind words.
Excellent efforts, Hannah. Keep it up.
