Hannah’s Helping Hand celebrated the Queen’s 90th Birthday on June 12th with a Tea Party and Royal Bake Off with her family. The party was to raise money for The Epilepsy Society, a charity which has HM The Queen as patron. Hannah’s brother has epilepsy, and Hannah was keen to support them.
There were 7 entries in the Bake Off, which was judged anonymously by Auntie Julia and Auntie Carol. Entries were to have a royal or purple theme, certifcates were awarded and there was an overall winner.
Certifcates were awarded as follows:
Best Biscuit – Elizabeth & her dad Richard – Shortbread Crowns
Most Imaginative – Philip & Barbara – Coronation Chicken Crown
Most Colouful – Paul – Sweetie Kebabs
Best Flavour – Adam – Crispy Choc Tiara
Best Decorated – Hannah – Gingerbread Queen Biscuits
Best cake – George & Edward – Royal Cupcakes
Best Traybake – Barbara & Gareth – E II R Traybake
(Best Disqualified Entry went to Andrew because his entry was made by one of the judges)
The overall winner was HANNAH.
Thanks to her generous family, Hannah has already over £50 for The Epilepsy Society, a cause she wanted to help because of her brother Adam’s struggle with this condition.
